Damian Lillard, Klay Thompson and Anthony Davis Headline Awesome Cast for Space Jam 2 With LeBron

After a longer-than-expected wait, it appears that we finally have a good idea which hoopers will be joining LeBron James in "Space Jam 2", which is set to begin filming this summer.
Shams Charania of The Athletic was the first to drop the news Wednesday evening, and according to the NBA insider, the cast will feature LBJ's new Laker teammate Anthony Davis, Trail Blazers superstar Damian Lillard as well as the Warriors' Klay Thompson. Additionally, WNBA stars Diana Taurasi, Nneka Ogwumike, and Chiney Ogwumike will take part in cameos.

This should be considered massive news for all fans of the renowned Warner Bros. franchise as it was reported a few months back that the film's production crew was having difficulty recruiting players to join LeBron on the set.

But, now it's safe to say that producers of the sequel, set to appear in theaters in July of 2021, will be completely fine with having four of the NBA's most compelling superstars and three of the most prominent stars of the women's game as their featured co-stars.
We can now officially state that we are absolutely buzzing for its release. And stay tuned for updates, however, as additional NBA and WNBA players can still be expected to join the star-studded cast, as Charania claims.
