The rivalry between Damian Lillard and Russell Westbrook has been one of intrigue across the NBA, truly picking up steam during the Thunder-Blazers playoff series last season.

Well, the two squared off again on Wednesday night, with both players enjoying phenomenal nights. After the game, Dame took to Instagram and seemed to clear the air regarding his relationship with Russ.

"They confuse competing with hate when it's ruthless vs ruthless ..." Lillard said.

Westbrook and Lillard are two of the game's most fierce competitors, and are among the best players at their position. Last year's beef created the narrative that the two have bad blood, but Lillard made clear that their rivalry is just competitiveness at its highest level.
