Dan Hurley reportedly turns down Lakers to stay at UConn

Hurley is ready to try and bring home a three-peat with the Huskies.

It's time to go to Plan B for the Los Angeles Lakers front office. Over the past few days, reports have been flying stating that UConn head coach Dan Hurley had high interest in taking over for the Lakers.

On Monday, though, the touted head coach surprised a lot of people, reportedly turning down the Lakers and $70 million to stay in the college game. Who saw this coming?

Hurley has helped the Huskies win back-to-back national titles, doing so in impressive fashion. Now, he's going to be ready to try and post a three-peat with the college powerhouse. He's beloved by UConn fans and alumni and this latest news is only going to make him even more popular.
