VIDEO: Dan Orlovsky Says Packers Should Trade for Odell Beckham Jr
By Scott Rogust
The addition of Odell Beckham Jr. last season was supposed to help the Cleveland Browns clinch their first playoff berth since 2002. Instead, the Browns fell to 6-10 in a drama-filled campaign. Now, Beckham's status with the team is unclear, as a report indicates Cleveland would be open to trading the speedster, but only if they're blown away by an offer. Enter ESPN analyst and former NFL quarterback Dan Orlovsky, who says the Green Bay Packers should make a move.
This would be a head-turning move for the Packers, but surrendering a second-round pick for Beckham's services is downright comical. That's far from a blow-away offer.
However, the match certainly makes sense. The Packers were outclassed by the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game, as Green Bay's offense was rather stagnant, despite Davante Adams exploding for nine receptions and 138 yards.
With Aaron Rodgers entering the tail-end of his career, now's the time for Green Bay to put all of their chips on the table to make a push for the Super Bowl. Adding Beckham would definitely help them in achieving that goal.
