After an explosive first half, the third quarter of the AFC Title Game has been rather stagnant. Midway through the quarter, a Tennessee Titans drive stalled out when a Ryan Tannehill run was stopped by a massive hit from Kansas City Chiefs safety Daniel Sorensen. While it looked like a clean hit in regular time, a slow motion replay showed that there was helmet-to-helmet contact, which should've resulted in a penalty.

There's definitely contact there, and it does appear Sorensen lowered the crown of his helmet upon replay review. In real time, however, the hit looked clean. That's just the benefit of having instant replay, which officials unfortunately cannot use in this case.

Either way, the officiating crew missed it. There's nothing that can be done now.
