Danny Ainge Reportedly Offered Delonte West a Scouting Job With Celtics
By Michael Luciano

The NBA world is banding together to help out former Boston Celtics guard Delonte West, who was videotaped on the side of a highway muttering incomprehensible statements after being involved in a street fight in Washington, D.C.
West, who reportedly suffers from bipolar disorder, has found it almost impossible to stay on the right track now that he has left the structure provided by the NBA.
According to Shams Charania, Celtics GM Danny Ainge once offered West a lifeline that could have helped prevent him from falling into the traps he fell into, as he was given a chance to scout players in his native DC area, but West ultimately failed at that due to his own fluctuating attendance.
On @TheAthleticNBA: NBPA has provided extensive financial support to Delonte West. Danny Ainge gave West a scouting job in recent years. Friends and family want to help the distressed former NBA guard beyond monetary measures — before too late. https://t.co/V9KbQiwXeB

The NBPA continued to support West financially as recently as this month and helped move him from Dallas to Maryland.
West currently lives in Maryland with his mother.

West's post-basketball career is spiraling out of control, even after the likes of Ainge tried to offer him help. It goes without saying, but countless folks out there are hoping for the best for West right now.
