Darren Sproles Contract Details With Eagles Revealed
By Sean Facey
Darren Sproles is back with the Eagles for what may be one last ride.
The veteran running back signed on with Philadelphia yet again as we knew last week, and now the details of his contract have been revealed.
The 36-year-old is on a one-year deal that has a base value of $1.03 million. Sproles will receive a $300,000 signing bonus and $600,000 of his base contract is guaranteed.
Sproles has spent five of his 13 years in the NFL with the Eagles. While in Philadelphia, he's amassed an even 2,700 yards from scrimmage and 17 total touchdowns, averaging six yards per touch.
Injuries have hampered him to a massive extent over the last two seasons. Since the start of 2017, he's appeared in just nine games and has put up a total of 414 yards.
With Jordan Howard and Corey Clement both on the roster, it's unlikely he gets a large amount of touches. With that being said, he can still serve in a guiding veteran role for the team as they look to make it to the playoffs for the the third straight year.
If all goes well, they'll be able to give Sproles a proper sendoff at the end of the season.
