The career of one of football's shiftiest players is set to come to an end this year.

His campaign this year was cut short in November after the Eagles were forced to place him on injured reserve due to a torn right hip flexor muscle.
Though it might not have ended the way he wanted, Sproles nonetheless had a stellar career. A fourth-round draft pick by the San Diego Chargers back in 2005, he established himself as one of the best running back-kick returner hybrids in football with the New Orleans Saints and Eagles.

He accumulated 8,392 yards from scrimmage and 19,696 all-purpose yards. Sproles also managed to eclipse the 2,200-yard mark in all-purpose yards in four straight seasons from 2008 to 2011.
A player of Sproles' versatility and talent doesn't come around all too often in the NFL, and he managed to carve out a solid legacy for himself that won't soon be forgotten.
