Darryl Dawkins' Widow Responds to Zion Williamson Comparisons Through Husband's Twitter Account

Zion Williamson has been compared to just about every great, large NBA player in recent memory, and the latest comparison settles on former 76ers great Darryl Dawkins.

One NBA fan boldly claimed that Williamson wouldn't be a generational talent, instead comparing his floor to that of Chocolate Thunder (not a bad floor to have by any means).

Well, Dawkins' widow Janice Hoderman responded to that take via her husband's Twitter account, saying that Dawkins was more accomplished than most around the league accredited to him.

Hoderman made clear it was her making these statements, rather than Dawkins himself, by signing off on the message with a byline of, "-his wife."

While Dawkins was no joke in the league, Williamson is projected to be a far superior talent, though many fans would be content with the second coming of Chocolate Thunder.

'Dr. Dunkenstein' had an outstanding NBA career spanning from the mid-70s to the late-80s that saw him play 726 games across 14 seasons. He played for the 76ers and Nets throughout his prime, before joining the Jazz and Pistons at the end of his career. Dawkins passed away in 2015 of a heart attack.
