Davante Adams Claps Back at Seahawks Fans With Extremely Blunt Instagram Story of Jimmy Graham Play
By Karl Rasmussen
The Seattle Seahawks' loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night did not come without a controversial call.
Late in the game, Jimmy Graham was rewarded with a clinching first down, despite appearing to be a bit short of the marker. After a good deal of of dispute, Graham was ruled to have recorded the first down, much to the dismay of Seahawks fans.
An alternate angle of the play was later revealed in which it appears the yellow line, which is viewable on TV broadcasts, was not set in the correct location. Packers receiver Davante Adams took to social media to clap back at everyone who was doubting the spot, refusing to take any guff at all about what went down.
Adams didn't hold back with his response, telling the haters to "shut up" via his Instagram story. That's that!
Seahawks fans are desperately pointing to this play as the be all, end all moment of this loss, and while the yellow line certainly made Graham look like he came up short, the reality is that he crossed the line. Another reality? A dropped Seattle pass on the previous drive, if completed, makes this timeline look a lot different. So does wiser, Russell Wilson-led play calling before facing a 21-3 deficit.
Adams isn't going to let anyone take this win away from the Packers, and is making sure everyone knows the controversial moment was actually ruled correctly.
The Packers are set to face off with the 49ers in the NFC Championship next week, and while Seahawks fans may feel they were robbed on Sunday night, a closer look shows the opposite.
