David Ortiz's Reaction to Red Sox Punishment for Cheating is an Insult to Baseball Fans

The Boston Red Sox recently received their punishment for alleged sign-stealing that took place during the 2018 season. MLB's investigation led to the team losing a second-round pick and a one-year ban for Red Sox video assistant J.T. Watkins.
This seemed to be a rather light sentence for the team. No players were suspended and former manager Alex Cora did not receive any additional punishment to add on to his current one-year ban. However, Boston legend David Ortiz is not happy at all and his recent comments are an insult to baseball fans.
David Ortiz thinks MLB was too harsh on the Red Sox.

"It's not fair"

The team got off easy. Yet Ortiz went as far to say that every team is stealing and relaying signs to batters. The key here is the Red Sox had a video assistant allegedly steal the signs. Any technology being used is the difference when it comes to gaining a competitive advantage.

Fans want to believe that teams are always playing fair. The Astros scandal shattered that ideal image and Ortiz's comments don't help matters.
