Red Sox Legend David Ortiz Announces He'll Return to Annual Winter Weekend Event

This year's Boston Red Sox Winter Weekend takes place on the 17th and 18th of this month, and a Red Sox legend will be making a return to the team's annual festivities announcing the start of the team's 2020 journey.

David Ortiz is headed to Springfield to meet and greet fans, an opportunity that should have Boston diehards far and wide jumping for joy.

Plenty of players, alumni, and coaches will be in attendance for fans to meet, including current superstars like Mookie Betts, Andrew Benintendi, and Chris Sale.

Ortiz will not be the only Sox legend in attendance, as players like Pedro Martinez, Dennis Eckersley, and Jim Rice will also be at the event.

Each fan who attends Winter Weekend will receive guaranteed access to autograph and photo sessions with one or two attending alumni, players, or coaches. The event is comprised of three areas, the Family Fun Zone, the Social Media Lounge, and Wally's World. All three of these areas offer different engagements that fans of all ages can take advantage of.
