David Price Leaves Saturday's Start in 1st Inning With Apparent Injury
By Karl Rasmussen
UPDATE: The Red Sox have reported that Price left the game with flu-like symptoms.
David Price was on the hill for the Red Sox on Saturday, making his second start since returning from an 18-day stint on the IL.
Well, he didn't last long in this one, as Price exited the game with an apparent injury before finishing a full inning of work.
While it's unclear what was bothering Price, something was definitely not right with the veteran lefty. His velocity was way down and he seemed to be struggling on the mound.
Price only managed 15 pitches in the game before Alex Cora came and swapped him out for Colten Brewer, who will now be tasked with keeping the Astros off the board.
Hopefully it's nothing serious, but this is far from encouraging for Red Sox brass, especially considering he was only activated from the IL on May 20.
