David Price Seems to Be Liking Los Angeles a Lot Better Than Boston
By Brendan Balsamo

No one would have had a good time in David Price's position with the Boston Red Sox. Signed to a record contract, constantly under a microscope and pressured to perform, he constantly was butting heads with the Boston media.
Now with the Los Angeles Dodgers, he feels much more comfortable and less pressured with the Los Angeles media. He's reveling in his new life on the West Coast.

After his first experience at Spring Training camp with the Dodgers, he said he expected to be swarmed by reporters. Instead, "There were maybe two or three [reporters] hanging out, talking to other guys, and nobody came over to talk to me about my day. I couldn’t believe it."
Los Angeles is known as a big market with a small media market feel. Price, without the big pressures of the cannibalistic East Coast media, is now constantly seen with a smile, mentoring younger players, and is in his element in a Dodgers uniform.

Coming off surgery, Price said that his wrist felt great in his first Dodgers appearance on Monday. Hopefully, peak Price will make his return in LA in 2020 after an injury-shortened year in 2019.
