David Robertson to Miss Entire 2020 Season After Undergoing Tommy John Surgery
By Parker White

The Philadelphia Phillies have had a hard time assembling a respectable bullpen this season, and it'll be even more difficult after this latest piece of news.
According to Todd Zolecki of MLB.com, veteran right-handed reliever David Robertson underwent Tommy John surgery on Thursday, and there's a strong likelihood he'll miss the rest of this season and the 2020 season.

Robertson signed a two-year deal with the Phillies this offseason, but it now looks like he'll spend the majority of his time in the City of Brotherly Love on the injured list.
The 34-year-old hurler appeared in only seven games and posted a 5.40 ERA for the Phillies this season.

It's hard to imagine the Phillies wanting to keep Robertson around once his contract is up, and with him having TJ surgery at his age, you wonder if he'll be able to find his way back into a big league bullpen.
Robertson is just one of several key arms in the Phillies bullpen that's on the shelf this year, including Seranthony Dominguez, Tommy Hunter and Pat Neshek.
