Because anything is possible with Bill O'Brien overseeing operations, NFL insider Peter King reported on Monday that some teams believe that Houston Texans superstar wideout DeAndre Hopkins could be available via trade this offseason.

We don't have to go into detail about why offloading Hopkins would make zero sense for Houston. Instead, let's highlight three contenders that should pounce on this rumor and get the Texans on the phone as quickly as possible.

3. Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles are expected to be plenty busy this offseason as it pertains to rebuilding their wide receiving corps. Outside of tight end duo Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert, everybody should be expendable. Carson Wentz has been clamoring for a reliable perimeter threat and Alshon Jeffery just hasn't proven to be that since signing his contract extension. The Eagles were a star WR away rom being a legitimate threat in the NFC last season, and it goes without saying that Hopkins fits that bill. General manager Howie Roseman shouldn't even think twice about trading for the All-Pro talent.

2. New England Patriots

One of the most discussed storylines of the 2019 NFL season was how Tom Brady didn't have enough offensive weapons. Though that narrative grew stale after the first couple of games, it was incredibly accurate. It's truly not known where Brady's priorities lie in free agency, but you can bet the farm that he'd be persuaded to run it back in Foxborough if the Patriots pulled off a blockbuster deal for Hopkins. New England would immediately become one of the prohibitive favorites to hoist the Lombardi Trophy.

1. San Francisco 49ers

There's nothing wrong with admitting that quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo needs capable offensive weaponry around him to succeed. The 28-year-old signal caller thrived in those very conditions in 2019 as he helped lead the 49ers to the Super Bowl. Assuming impending free agent wideout Emmanuel Sanders walks, Garoppolo will be left working with Deebo Samuel and George Kittle as his two pass-catching targets. Though that duo may be enough for other top-tier gunslingers, it simply isn't enough for Jimmy G. Striking a deal for Hopkins would make the Niners' offense unstoppable and only bolster the team's Super Bowl aspirations.
