Dellin Betances Releases Statements After Signing With Mets
The All-Star reliever won't have to move far for the next journey of his MLB career. Dellin Betances is now a member of the New York Mets after spending his whole career in the Bronx with the Yankees.
Betances is a New York City native, growing up in Manhattan, and is living his dream of continuing to play professionally in the city. He released a statement after the news dropped of him signing with the Mets.

Betances' New York journey continues with a simple statement of "I love New York." He is already talking about winning a World Series with the Mets and brining back another title to the area.
Plain and simple, he wanted to stay close to home. The Phillies were showing interest, but nothing beats playing baseball in NYC.

Betances had a rough end to his time in the Bronx and gets to prove his value a few boroughs away. Releasing a statement right away should have Mets fans excited this holiday season and shows that Betances is grateful to join the franchise.
