VIDEO: DeMarcus Cousins Warms up With Lakers Despite Reports He's Expected to Be Waived
By Karl Rasmussen

The Los Angeles Lakers made the difficult decision to part ways with DeMarcus Cousins on Friday evening... or so we thought. Reports suggested the big-man was to be waived in order to clear a roster spot for Markieff Morris, but despite all the outside noise, Boogie was seen warming up with the team ahead of Friday's clash.

The reports did say that Cousins would be released Saturday, so it looks like Boogie is just enjoying his final night as a member of the team.
Sidelined with a torn ACL, Cousins has been unable to contribute to the team on the hardwood. With the Finals-or-bust mentality in Los Angeles, the Lakers could no longer justify keeping him on the roster following the acquisition of Morris.

It's still expected the 29-year-old will be released Saturday, but for now he will enjoy his time with the organization. Be on the lookout for any emotional farewells in the aftermath of this one, folks.
