Derek Carr Claps Back at Haters With Cliche Quote About Blocking Out the So-Called Noise
By Andrew Gullotta

With only one winning season under his belt, Raiders quarterback Derek Carr has to prove himself as the starting quarterback this season as the team moves to Las Vegas.
However, it doesn't seem like the quarterback is feeling pressure.
Taking some time to discuss the negative statements surrounding his name, he stated that he has "no time" for the haters, and is focused on playing winning football.
#Raiders QB Derek Carr to @VicTafur: "If you have something (negative) to say to me, I have no time for you... We just need to score more and win more. That’s my mindset.

This quote shows Carr has nothing much to report, but knows he needs to get better. It may anger Raiders fans that he may not have all the answers, but at least Carr's head is in the right place.
Even though he will start as the first-string quarterback, Las Vegas brought in former Titans first-round pick Marcus Mariota, who's long been a Jon Gruden favorite, to compete with Carr.
After only winning 17 of the last 47 games with Carr at the helm, the Raiders will look to make strides in the right direction in 2020. This year seems like Carr's last chance to solidify himself as the franchise quarterback, and make a lasting impression on Gruden and Mike Mayock.

But for now, Carr is making it simple. He isn't focused on the haters. He's just trying to figure out how to put more points up on the board for the Raiders next season.
In the draft, the team reloaded, adding WR Henry Ruggs in the first round instead of a QB, and taking Lynn Bowden and Bryan Edwards later on. The chips are certainly all on the table for Carr now.
