Derek Jeter can claim many titles as a result of his legendary career. All-Star, Hall of Famer, and legend are just a few. Villain might be another one, at least if you ask the Fenway faithful in Boston. Jeter always seemed to turn things up a notch whenever the Yankees and Red Sox did battle, as evidenced by three of his most noteworthy career highlights coming against his old foes up north.

3. Home Run off of Pedro in 2003 ALCS

In the same crazy Game 3 that saw Pedro Martinez shove Don Zimmer to the ground, it was old No. 2 that helped get the Yankees back on track. Jeter launched a home run off of Martinez in the third inning that tied the game and sparked a Yankee rally. The Yankees would go on to win the game and the series in legendary fashion, but it would likely not have happened without Jeter providing the spark that got everything rolling.

2. His First Career Walk-off

In a game that featured 23 combined runs and an appearance from Pat Mahomes Sr., Jeter picked up his first career walk-off in a 12-11 victory over the Red Sox. Jeter poked a base hit back up the middle against Boston reliever Joe Hudson. Jeter would produce nine more walk-off RBIs in his career, as his penchant for clutch hitting was on display even from an early age.

1. The Dive

This isn't just one of the most memorable moments in Jeter's career or recent Yankees history, this is one of the most iconic plays of the last two decades. Jeter leaping into the stands in short left field, taking a hit away from the Red Sox in the 12th inning, and emerging from the whole affair bruised and bloodied showed off the rare competitive fire that guided he and the Yankees for the better part of two decades. 2004 may not have ended well for the Yankees, but their fans will always have this play.
