Derrick Henry Recruiting for Alabama on Twitter is Awful News for Rest of the SEC
By Michael Luciano

Derrick Henry can attest to what Alabama can do for a college football recruit, as he transformed from a gigantic, raw back from Yulee into a Heisman winner and NFL star thanks to Nick Saban's tutelage.
Henry has apparently taken on a somewhat expanded role with the Tide, trying to swing recruits away from schools like LSU and Auburn and towards the Tide.

Excluding 2019 due to the return of Najee Harris, every player that has led the Tide in rushing from 2008 to 2018 has been drafted in the third round or higher. While some busts like Trent Richardson and TJ Yeldon are mixed in there, players like Henry, Josh Jacobs and Mark Ingram have proven that playing running back in Tuscaloosa almost guarantees you a spot in the NFL.

Alabama doesn't exactly need a ton of help when it comes to pulling in recruits, but Henry's smooth sales pitch might help that one undecided 5-star pick the Tide over several other SEC schools.
