VIDEO: Derrick Henry Backs Ryan Tannehill When Asked About Possibility of Tom Brady Joining Titans
While Derrick Henry has his own soul searching to do ahead of his first stint in NFL free agency, the star running back was asked, during an appearance on Barstool's Bussin' With the Boys, about the rumors that the Titans were interested in bringing Tom Brady aboard for the 2020 season.
When Henry was asked what he would think if the Titans were to sign Brady, Henry quickly sprung to the defense of Ryan Tannehill.
"Why isn't Ryan Tannehill good enough?" That is what Henry claims he would say if the Titans signed Brady. That is one heck of an endorsement for Tannehill in free agency this offseason.
Henry went on to clarify his respect for Brady saying, "Tom Brady's the GOAT, there's no question."
Tannehill took over for Marcus Mariota and helped get the Titans to the AFC Championship Game. Henry was obviously a main reason why the Titans had postseason success, but they would not have gotten there if Mariota remained the starter.
With Brady being linked to the Titans, Henry showed just how loyal a teammate he is by voicing his faith for Tannehill.
