DeSean Jackson Having a Big Year for the Eagles Would Be the Most Philly Thing Ever

After the Philadelphia Eagles unexpectedly cut wideout DeSean Jackson following the 2013 season, most fans were upset with the decision, and rightfully so. He was coming off his best year in the NFL and seemed primed to keep the hot streak going in Chip Kelly's fast-paced offense.

But as every Eagles fan knows, the Kelly era was a huge disappointment. Bringing back the first player to get cut during the Chip era feels like a huge middle finger to the former Eagles coach/GM, and Jackson having a huge season would make it even better.

Reports from the Eagles OTAs suggest the Carson Wentz to Jackson connection is looking great, which is great news for fans. The Eagles haven't had a deep threat like Jackson since he left, so adding him to Wentz's arsenal should only make the QB better.

Jackson's made it clear he never really wanted to leave Philly, so coming back was like a dream come true for him. He's never been able to replicate the type of production he had in his early years with the Eagles with any other team either.

Head coach Doug Pederson loves to spread the ball around and he has a knack for getting the most out of the talent he has to work with. Having someone with the speed that Jackson possesses adds a whole new dimension to Philly's offense.

With the new, more matured version of Jackson, the sky's the limit for the O. From what we've heard, he's all in on this team, which wasn't always the case during his early years. He routinely missed meetings and some times didn't even show up to OTAs.

If he can stay healthy, he should be in a for a big year in 2019. Every Eagles fan is dusting off their No. 10 jerseys in the hopes that he'll pick up right where he left off in 2013.
