Deshaun Watson Spotted in Dolphins Shirt on Saturday and Fans Are Freaking Out
By Michael Luciano
The Houston Texans have one of the best young quarterbacks in all of football in Deshaun Watson, but it seems like they've done almost everything in their power to alienate him, given their recent roster turnover.
In perhaps a shot at the organization and a signal he is willing to play elsewhere, Watson showed up to a South Florida workout in a shirt that had Miami Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino on the front.
Bill O'Brien sent every other Texan to the Dolphins for Laremy Tunsil and Kenny Stills, so why not send Watson there too?
At the very least, it's got Miami feeling the Brian Flores-inspired hype.
And it's got Houston reliving their GM's "Best of Trades 2020" tape.
It could be speculated that Watson, who accounted for almost 4,300 total yards and 33 touchdowns last season, is just a fan of Marino, but this isn't the best look amid rumors that the franchise quarterback and O'Brien could part ways. In a few words, this shirt hits harder than Drake lyrics.
Watson was recently viewed as the favorite to start at quarterback for the New England Patriots in 2021, and those into reading tea leaves are postulating that this is another sign that the trade of DeAndre Hopkins might have forced Watson to consider skipping town.
Texans fans better pray that this rumor doesn't have legs, as joining an organization that is on the upswing, in need of a quarterback, and closer to home could have some real appeal for Watson.
