Billboards Go up in Detroit Trolling Referees After Lions Controversial MNF Loss to Packers
By Chris Russo

It is time to give some props to Detroit Lions fans. It's hard enough for them to watch their team go 62 years without a championship, but when there is true football injustice, at least they have a sense of humor.
After a series of questionable calls helped the Green Bay Packers defeat the Lions on Monday Night Football this week, an anonymous group of fans leased billboard space to cleverly call out the NFL.
No lawyers (yet), but definitely billboards in the aftermath of the Lions-Packers debacle https://t.co/Jw2ZXm7Sel

The Detroit area now features critical billboards, at least one of which depicts a referee wearing the Packers' fans famous cheesehead.
The group of fans has apparently leased billboard space a number of times over the last few years to air their grievances in reference to poor officiating and free agent departures.
$1,700 to lease a Billboard off I-75 as you enter Detroit. I will post the link for the go fund me later after Ryan makes it. If you can’t donate at least retweet the tweet later when I post it. Let’s make this happen! @Lions @KenKalDRW @TJLang70 @BarrySanders pic.twitter.com/6P3Dl8CAuo

Detroit is a city full of football fans who have suffered for far too long, so it's only fair that its citizens get to stand up if they're not going to get a fair shake from officials. It's clearly not the first time this has happened, and it won't be the last.
The NFL even admitted its officials' mistakes, but, of course, that doesn't mean they can change the outcome.
