Detroit Newspaper Writes Hilariously Bad Headline About Michigan Baseball Star
By Jerry Trotta
We all know how important and controversial headlines can be in print media. While most are well-written and clever enough to get the job done, sometimes we stumble upon misinformed captions that are published to deliver more "clicks."
And on the rarest of occasions, we come across flat-out moronic and outrageous headers that make you wonder what comedian gave the OK on distributing it to the public.
That's exactly where we stand with The Detroit News, who made a hilarious gaffe while trying to grab its readers attention with a flashy headline of Michigan baseball star, Jordan Brewer, who was drafted by the Houston Astros in the third round of the 2019 MLB Draft.
The 2019 Big Ten Player of the Year was featured for the outlet's "15 Things You Don't Know About Me" column and listed No. 3 on his list was the outlandish "I absolutely have to sleep with a fan" ambition.
While Brewer more than likely was referring to an electric fan, the fact that he's an athlete headed to the pro's where he will have many adoring baseball fans cheer his name, makes the gaffe even funnier.
