DeVante Parker Addresses Sketchy Instagram Story Which Fueled Rumors of Dolphins Departure
By Mark Powell
Looks like DeVante Parker is staying put after all.
Parker fueled rumors of a potential Dolphins roster crunch with a sketchy Instagram story on Wednesday night, which featured a peace sign emoji. Fans, of course, ran with their theories, even convincing some analysts a move was imminent.
On Wednesday morning, with his inbox full and his mentions surely in complete mayhem, Parker addressed these rumors, stating his story meant nothing, and revealing we have way too much time on our hands.
Parker missed the team's first three preseason games due to injury, and has been the frequent subject of trade rumors the past few weeks. Still, while there's plenty of potential for the 26-year-old to be moved, this was not him signaling his days in the 305 are over.
Add in the Dolphins' interest in Jadeveon Clowney, and Dolphins fans curiosity became downright hysterical on Wednesday night, assuming that the Texans' need for a No. 2 wideout meant Parker was on the move.
Not so much...for now.
