Devin Booker Trolls Bill Simmons Over Jayson Tatum Injury After Analyst Invoked Him in FIBA Argument
By Parker White
If you've ever listened to or paid attention to Bill Simmons of The Ringer, you know that he's a Boston sports superfan. There's nothing wrong with that, but sometimes his judgement gets clouded and he can be a homer, especially when it comes to the Boston Celtics.
For instance, Simmons loves the fact that Celtics forward Jayson Tatum is playing for Team USA in the FIBA World Cup, and he was very critical of a player like Devin Booker pulling out and deciding to work out on his own and prepare for the upcoming NBA regular season.
I wonder what Simmons was feeling when Tatum injured his ankle towards the end of Team USA's overtime victory against Turkey?
Booker pays attention to the insults and he Tweeted at Simmons following the Tatum ankle sprain.
Yeah, I'd say those prayer emojis were sent sarcastically, don't ya think?
It appears that Tatum's injury is nothing serious and his ankle should be fine for Boston's season opener, but it's comical that shortly after taking a dig at Booker one of Simmons' favorite players get hurt. If anything, Booker used Simmons to prove his point, and it only took two words and a couple of emojis.
