The Cleveland Indians recently confirmed that they pulled off quite the Houdini act in 2019 by hiding actor Nicolas Cage in 39 (!) of their lineup graphics throughout the year. The reason this is making headlines in mid-May is because literally nobody noticed it during the season. It would've been swept under the rug had the Indians not come public.
The campaign-long prank epitomizes the definition of random (Why not every game?! Infuriating.), but that's what makes it so hilarious.
Just want to let you know that we hid Nicolas Cage in (39) of our lineup graphics last year.

We snuck it by you! You didn't even notice!
It's our greatest treasure.
Go on a scavenger hunt if you please. We will send master hunters a letter of congratulations. pic.twitter.com/4qq3BnSxBK
What makes this story all the more bizarre is the fact that one crazed fan actually took it upon himself to find all 39 hidden graphics.
He replied to the Indians' original tweet to acknowledge his heroics, and we're going to go ahead and toss an extended standing ovation his way.

We get that folks have more time than they know what to do with during quarantine, but this...this is something we never expected. Given Cleveland's comical reply to the committed fan, it's fair to say that the club felt the same way.
However, the Indians also made a cool gesture by offering the fan a small prize to reward his noble efforts.
Anthony ... We are so impressed and frankly a little worried (are you doing okay, man?). Shoot us a DM. We've got something small for you!

The fan didn't exactly locate the "National Treasure" like Cage did in the hit 2004 film, but his attention to detail his certainly on par with Cage's character. He went above and beyond by finding all 39 graphics.
