The Dallas Cowboys are in Oxnard, Calif. for training camp. Well, everyone except running back Ezekiel Elliott, who is currently in a holdout for a new contract.

Just a couple of days after staying away from camp, Elliott and the Cowboys are in the middle of a $20 million lawsuit, where the organization allegedly tried to cover up a car accident involving the running back.

With the report coming out as Elliott is looking for a contract that exceeds Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley, one Twitter user was reminded of a situation from 2015, when wide receiver Dez Bryant was holding out for a new deal from Dallas.

Bryant replied to the individual, citing that what Elliott is currently going through in contract negotiations is exactly the reason why he's currently not interested in playing in the NFL.

Bryant continued by saying everything that what went on during his contract holdout from the Cowboys contributed to his anxiety and depression.

The former Cowboys and New Orleans Saint even clapped back at Twitter users who said no teams were even interested in his services, saying "that's not [the] case."

Bryant did reassure his fans that he's not officially retiring from the NFL, rather, he's taking care of himself.

It's unknown what situation happened with Bryant back in 2015, but he does understand what Ezekiel Elliott is going through. While fans can fully expect Elliott to play for the Cowboys this season, it doesn't sound like Dez Bryant will wear an NFL uniform this fall.
