The Arizona Diamondbacks (35-33) and the Philadelphia Phillies (38-29) are set to end their three game war in Philadelphia tonight. The Diamondbacks easily secured a win in Game 1, but the Phillies were able to make a strong comeback to tie the series 1-1 in Game 2. Tonight, the Phillies will try and defend their home field by winning the series and sending Arizona away with a loss.
How to Live Stream the Game
First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 pm E.T. at Citizens Bank Park. The game will be broadcasted on Fox Sports-Arizona and NBC Sports-Philadelphia. Live streams of the game can be found via Reddit's MLB Streams subreddit.
Diamondbacks Lineup
Arizona will need to come back tonight with an offensive performance that parallels game one. Ketel Marte is leading off, with Ildemaro Vargas hitting second. David Peralta, Adam Jones and Eduardo Escobar follow suit, making up the heart of the order. Rounding out the lineup is the trio of Christian Walker, Nick Ahmed and Carson Kelly.
But what the Diamondbacks will really need tonight is steady pitching from the mound. Despite a win in game one, eight runs were scored. This really bit them in the butt in game two where a offensive strength wasn't able to make up for the lack there of on defense with another seven runs from their opponent.
Merrill Kelly will command the hill in Philadelphia, hoping to keep the Phils off the board. The 30-year-old has logged a 4.12 ERA and 58 strikeouts this year.
Phillies Lineup
Cesar Hernandez is leading off for the Phils on Wednesday. Shortstop Jean Segura hits second ahead of left fielder Jay Bruce. Rhys Hoskins hits cleanup, followed by J.T. Realmuto, Scott Kingery, Nick Williams and Maikel Franco.
In the first game of the series Philly was able to score eight runs, despite a loss, then were able to come back in Game 2 and score another seven runs. If they are able to keep this up at the plate, the Diamondbacks will have a hard time staying with them.
On the mound for Philadelphia is Zach Eflin, who has made one start since returning from a brief stint on the IL. He's logged a 2.88 ERA and 57 strikeouts across 72 innings pitched through 12 starts.
