Didi Gregorius Calls Out MLB Twitter Account for Exaggerating Quote About 'Burying' Red Sox
By Brendan Azoff

The MLB Twitter account posted a quote from Didi Gregorius that was intended to spark the first matchup of the Yankees and Red Sox rivalry, but the soundbite they chose did not sit right with the man who apparently made the statement to begin with.
I mean you should hear both sides of the story .... dont cut the pieces out and make me look like im a bad person i play this game because i love it.... no need to start trouble because i aint up with that....

Gregorius responded to the graphic with a tweet of his own, accusing the MLB of using his words to stir the pot of the Red Sox-Yankees rivalry, and that he only plays baseball because of his love for the game.
Didi is one of the most well-liked players in baseball, and the fact that he felt the need to respond to the tweet and clarify what he said shows that the MLB must have significantly irked me.
Didi has spoken. MLB twitter is cancelled

Didi's rebuttal has given Yankees fans something to rally around on a night when the Bronx Bombers got throttled in Boston. Kudos to Didi for sticking up for himself and proving that his love for the game and sportsmanship are bigger than the rivalry itself.
