By Max Scoli

It looks like Didi Gregorius could be headed back to the injured list.
According to reports, the New York Yankees shortstop is dealing with a knuckle strain and should be considered day-to-day, for now.
Didi Gregorius has a finger strain and is day-to-day. "We're hoping to avoid an IL situation," Aaron Boone says.

He will also be out of the lineup for Friday's rivalry game against the Boston Red Sox because of the injury.
However, it probably isn't the worst thing in the world that Gregorius is sitting for the Yanks as he is only 1-for-14 with a home run in his last four contests.
The Dutch infielder has only played in 39 games this season after starting the year on the IL as he recovered from Tommy John Surgery, maintaining a .271 average with 7 homers, 30 RBI, and a stolen base.

Despite the various ailments, Didi is confident that he can return to his old form. The shortstop is just two years removed from his best MLB season when he posted a career-high .287 BA with 87 runs batted in.
