Disgraced Former OSU Assistant Zach Smith Released a Podcast Episode From Jail
By Sam Dunn
We've gotten to the point at which you'd believe pretty much any rumor concerning disgraced former Ohio State Buckeyes wide receivers coach Zach Smith. After all, this is a not a man who's well -- he followed up his spectacularly awful crashout from college football by violating a civil protection order his ex-wife had put in place against him, resulting in a 20-day sentence behind bars.
But his time inside Ohio's Delaware County Jail somehow did not preclude him from releasing another episode of his podcast, "Menace 2 Sports."
Yes, Zach, you are exactly what a menace is. Menaces would be the type to record a podcast episode from jail over a pay phone.
A friendly word of advice: do not listen to this episode, or anything that Zach Smith produces. We're highlighting the existence of the thing simply to draw attention to what a waking disaster it is, and to warn away all comers.
Smith was axed from the OSU staff by then-head coach Urban Meyer in summer 2018 following an arrest and subsequent revelations concerning acts of domestic violence allegedly committed against Courtney Smith, his former wife. He has been an all-around college football pariah since then, and given that he's been defiantly one-note in his utter refusal to take responsibility for his actions or even admit the beginnings of substantial guilt, it's not hard to grasp why.
