Disgraced Ohio State Assistant Zach Smith Claims Tom Herman Had Brutal Lamar Jackson Take
By Michael Luciano

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has been putting a clown suit on those who doubted his ability to play quarterback dating back to his time at Louisville, but the most notable doubter might have been Texas head coach Tom Herman.
If you are to believe alleged domestic abuser Zach Smith, during Herman's time as the offensive coordinator at Ohio State, Smith took Herman on a trip to see Jackson, but the current Longhorns coach thought that Jackson was too "dumb" to play quarterback.
I remember when I took Tom Herman to see Lamar Jackson and he told me and our staff he was too dumb to play QB... what a time. #Mensa

If this is proven to be true, this would blow the lid of whatever reputation as an offensive guru Herman has left.
However, this is clearly an extremely unreliable source, and it would be almost a total 180 of what Herman has said about Jackson publicly. When Lamar was at Louisville, Herman, then the head coach at Houston, said that he had "star potential" when he recruited him during his time in Columbus.

Jackson has made fools of his doubters at both the collegiate and pro levels, and Herman might have been one of his most notable if Smith, who has a problem with giving the whole truth, is being honest here.
