DJ LeMahieu Could Potentially Play Through 'Acute' Groin Strain
By Sam Dunn

When you're DJ LeMahieu, you just kinda rake. All the time. But the Yankees All-Star infielder and AL batting leader has been slowed this weekend by a groin injury that required an MRI and subsequently held him out of Saturday's loss on the road in Boston.
Fortunately, though manager Aaron Boone described the injury "acute," LeMahieu won't necessarily be foreced to miss additional time.
DJ LeMahieu has an "acute" groin strain, Aaron Boone says. DJ thinks he might be able to play despite it so status is TBD.

The words, "acute," "groin," and "strain" don't make the most promising, positive-sounding sentence in the world, but hey, DJ has been pretty magical this season. He's playing the best ball of his career. If he thinks he can play, let the man play.

Already sporting the best single-season RBI total of his career and barely needing 90 games to do it, "David John" can seemingly do no wrong. Here's to hoping this "acute" issue squares itself away without a whole lot of hassle.
