DK Metcalf Responds to Odell Beckham Jr. Messing With Him Before Seahawks-Browns Kickoff
By Jerry Trotta
Prior to the Seattle Seahawks clash versus the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, Odell Beckham Jr. was spotted bumping into rookie wideout DK Metcalf as he attempted to haul in a pass during warm-ups.
Beckham, of course, messed around with the Ole Miss product and acted offended, before it became clear he was simply trying to initiate a conversation with the young pass catcher. At first, Metcalf appeared miffed that someone would even entertain the thought of interrupting his pre-game routine, but once he realized it was OBJ, that hostility morphed to laughter.
Metcalf, however, took to Twitter following Seattle's dub to acknowledge that he might have been ready to throw down if it was anybody other than Beckham fleecing him.
And thus, NFL pre-game conversations between opposing players remain undefeated.
This was, however, truly an audacious move on the part of Beckham. Purposely irritating the most jacked receiver that has ever graced the gridiron, joking aside, definitely wasn't his brightest idea.
We hate to do it, (not really because it's so darn mesmerizing), but we are forced to revive the absurd photo that was trending during Metcalf's combine prior to April's draft.
SHEESH.
Beckham must be markedly confident that his stardom was going to bail him out here.
We hate to think about what havoc and pain Metcalf would have wreaked if a player other than Odell confronted him on Sunday, even though his tweet was evidently sarcastic.
