The Los Angeles Dodgers will host the 2020 All-Star Game, and before next year's Mid-summer Classic, the franchise has plans of a $100-million renovation to Dodger Stadium.
Yup, another big makeover is coming to Los Angeles. Go figure.
Part of the renovation is building a new center-field plaza, as well as elevators and bridges that will connect the pavilions in the outfield to the rest of this classic stadium.
The new plaza in center field will include a children's area, dining options, two sports bars, a beer garden and an area for live music both before and after games. They are also planning on a building a new batter's eye in straightaway center field.
On top of improving the in-game experience for the fans, the Dodgers also announced they are building another statue for legendary pitcher Sandy Koufax.
Koufax already has one statue, but the new one is expected to be placed in a new entertainment area beyond center field. They also announced the plan of moving Jackie Robinson's statue to the entertainment plaza with Koufax's, as well.
