Dodgers' Joc Pederson Describes Astros Cheating Scandal Giving Him Sad Flashbacks to 2017
By Jerry Trotta

As the evidence against the Houston Astros vis-a-vis sign-stealing continues to mount, there has been no shortage of reaction from players around the MLB.
The allegations are most significant during the Astros' 2017 World Series-winning campaign, one in which they faced the Los Angeles Dodgers. For the most part, Dodgers players have been quiet in the wake of the revelation of Houston's tasteless deceptions -- but slugger Joc Pederson has now broken that silence. His comments about being shafted with a world championship on the line are upsetting. Someone give this guy a hug.
Joc Pederson on #Astros alleged sign stealing in 2017:

“It doesn’t make it any easier, and it just brings those same feelings of getting over something that you worked so hard for as a team, and it was just taken from you is tough...What are you going to do? It’s over with.”
“There is a lot that has come out," Pederson continued. "It is really unfortunate. It brings back a really bad feeling to your stomach like when we lost.”
Rough.
It's one thing to be reminded of falling just short of hoisting the Commissioner's Trophy, but to do so in this manner has to be gut-wrenching for Pederson and his teammates. They were awfully close, as it were.

We don't even want to think how long it took for the Dodgers to get over that fateful Game 7 loss at home. Heck, they'll probably never be at peace until they win a world championship, which is certainly far from a guarantee.
