Dodgers, Mets and Rays Will Continue to Pay Their Minor Leaguers During MLB Coronavirus Hiatus

Leave it to the Dodgers to step up and take care of all of their players. This isn't limited to just their guys in the bigs. Nope, during this time of the coronavirus concerns growing, the organization hasn't forgotten about the guys in the minors.
According to a report, the Dodgers have informed the guys in their farm system they'll continue to get the stipends and allowances they would have normally received during Spring Training.
The Dodgers are paying their minor leaguers the allowances and stipends they would receive in spring training during this shutdown, as @KyleAGlaser reported. Not every club is doing this, at least not yet.

While the exact amount they'll be receiving hasn't been made public, it's still a classy decision made by the guys in the front office. The low salaries of minor league players have been a major topic of conversation for years now. Cutting the money they'd normally have coming in during this pandemic would be a travesty.
That's why LA made this decision. Now, we must wait to see if other teams will follow suit and join the Dodgers, Mets and Rays.

Other clubs have yet to establish formal plans, but they and league officials say they are working on it. https://t.co/SKu4u0zlV7
With the MLB season pushed back once again, with no clear start date, it's time for clubs to take the necessary measures and remain quarantined. Fortunately for the youngsters in the Dodgers, Mets and Rays' system, they can do so with the assurance they'll still have some money coming in.
