Mookie Betts Baseball-Reference Page Now Includes His Bowling Stats
By Brendan Balsamo
Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts is almost universally regarded by MLB scouts to be among the most singularly talented players in the game. Betts proves his athletic prowess day in and day out -- not just on the diamond, either, but in the lanes as well.
Baseball Reference, the website to go to if any baseball statistic is required, has now added a section to show off Betts' bowling prowess.
Betts has been a well-known professional bowler in the PBA, and competed in the World Series of Bowling in both 2015 and 2017. His stats on his Baseball Reference page include all three of his 300 games from 2013, 2016, and 2017, their locations, and the associations the games were part of.
His 2017 perfect game happened to be during his appearance in the 2017 World Series of Bowling. Right on cue, he and the Red Sox won a certain other World Series one year later.
Betts' athleticism got him a reported 10-year, $300 million offer from his former team, the Boston Red Sox, over the offseason, but he turned it down. After being traded to the City of Angels to play for the Dodgers, Betts' and his versatility are now in Hollywood, where the lights shine brightest.
And where you can bet he'll continue to progress his bowling career with all the more fanfare.
