The Los Angeles Dodgers are already the top team in the National League, and on Sunday they became even more dangerous.

As always, the NL West leaders have even more talent in their farm system, and they dug into the minors for their latest addition. The Dodgers promoted top prospect Gavin Lux on Sunday.

Lux has fast tracked through the minors this year and broken out as a top 10 prospect in all of the sport.

Between Double-A and Triple-A, Lux slashed .347/.421/.607 with 59 extra-base hits (26 home runs) and 76 RBI. That includes hitting .392 with 13 home runs and slugging .719 at Triple-A in 49 games.

Yeah, I'd say he's ready for the bright lights.

What will be interesting is to see where he'll play. Lux is a natural shortstop, but with Corey Seager already at that spot, do they give the 21-year-old the keys to second base on an everyday basis?

If he produces, does Los Angeles put him on the postseason roster?

These questions will be answered by the end of September, but for now let's just bare witness to one of the game's brightest's first taste of major league action.
