MLBPA's Tony Clark Has Scathing Criticism of Holdup in Dodgers-Red Sox Blockbuster Trade for Mookie Betts
By Sean Facey

The baseball world has been wrapped up in the drama surrounding the bombshell trade between the Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers and Minnesota Twins involving Mookie Betts and David Price. What initially seemed like a done deal reached a surprising snag, resulting in what feels like an interminable delay.
And in the midst of all of the uproar about who should get what and why the deal should or shouldn't go through, MLB Players Association executive director Tony Clark released a scathing statement about the entire ordeal.

In case you were wondering if this was a bad look, it most certainly is now that there's public commentary on it from notable figures that oversee such transactions.
He went on to add more criticism of the leaks regarding physicals, saying that the events surrounding the trade highlight how players are not viewed as people, but assets to be acquired and sold.

Clark's remarks highlight the massive disconnect between players, executives and owners while also serving as a reminder that at the end of the day, these trades directly influence how players live their lives.
Now it's up to the league to issue a statement because just about everyone else has spoken on the matter.
