Dodgers RHP Ross Stripling Reportedly Expected to Be Dealt to Angels as Part of Joc Pederson Trade
By Karl Rasmussen

The Los Angeles Dodgers shook up the league by acquiring Mookie Betts in a blockbuster three-team trade involving the Red Sox and Twins late Tuesday night. Shortly after that trade was announced, it was revealed that Joc Pederson was expected to be sent to the Angels in exchange for Luis Rengifo, separately sending off a competing outfielder cross-town.
Well, according to Bob Nightengale, that deal is nearing finalization, but there's another significant piece involved in the swap.
Nightengale reports that Dodgers right-hander Ross Stripling is expected to join Pederson on the Angels, in exchange for a couple of prospects.
The #Angels and #Dodgers still working to finalize their deal that now is expected to include Dodgers pitcher Ross Stripling. The Dodgers would send OF Joe Pederson and Stripling to the #Angels for middle infielder Luis Rengifo and two prospects. Still, a lot of moving parts.

Finally, some pitching for the Angels!
Stripling would be a great addition for the LAA. The versatile hurler is able to slot into a rotation which is in need of another solid arm, or provide some value as an innings-eating reliever.
In 2019, the 30-year-old recorded a 3.47 ERA with 93 strikeouts in 90.2 innings of work. He made 32 appearances (15 starts) and recored a 0.9 WAR.
Here's the first report mentioning Ross Stripling, the widely suspected pitcher the #Angels were rumored to be getting from the Dodgers as part of the Joc Pederson trade. https://t.co/nDB0Vd7thk

The acquisition of Pederson and Stripling would cap off what was an extremely productive offseason in Anaheim, as the re-tooled club looks to contend in 2020.
