Dodgers sign Andrew Heaney to one-year deal

With MLB free agency here and kicking, the Dodgers have wasted no time in making a big splash to kick things off. On Monday, insider Ken Rosenthal is reporting that the former Yankee has agreed to a one-year deal with the LA Dodgers.
Heaney is a hard-throwing lefty, so this of course is a big addition for the Dodgers. LA fans are fired up over this.
Free-agent LHP Andrew Heaney in agreement with Dodgers on one-year contract, pending physical, sources tell @TheAthletic. Deal is for more than $8 million - the amount Robbie Ray got from the Blue Jays a year ago. Heaney, as @JoelSherman1 noted, viewed as similar upside play.

Per Rosenthal, it's a one-year deal for more than $8 million for Heaney. This is one of several moves the Dodgers are expected to make this fall and winter. Get ready, folks, as some more signings for big teams are surely on the way.
