Dodgers Top Prospect Gavin Lux Named Baseball America's Minor League Player of the Year
By Parker White

The Los Angeles Dodgers came into the season loaded with talent on their big league roster, and now they have the best minor league player in baseball.
Every year Baseball America names its top stud in the minors, and after dominating two levels this season, Dodgers top prospect Gavin Lux has earned the recognition for 2019.

This is the first time a Dodgers minor leaguer won the award since 1997 when first baseman Paul Konerko took it home.
Lux is joining an impressive crop of current players who Baseball America has honored, including Mike Trout, Kris Bryant, Ronald Acuna Jr. and last year's winner Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

The 21-year-old has been called up to the big leagues for the stretch run, and in 113 games between Double-A and Triple-A, Lux slashed .347/.421/.607 with 59 extra-base hits (26 home runs) and 76 RBI, including an impressive .392 batting average with 13 home runs in 49 games at Triple-A.
The former 2016 first-round pick may have thought this would've never happened, but he's a budding superstar we'll be hearing from for years to come.
