By Charles Nason
Friday night, the Los Angeles Dodgers (67-37) will head to D.C. to kick off a three-game series with the Washington Nationals (55-47). The Nats are looking to extend the gap between them and the surging Phillies while the Dodgers will simply try to maintain their massive lead in the NL West. Both clubs are coming off losing efforts in their last outings before the series start.
How to Live Stream the Game
First pitch between the Dodgers and Nationals is set for 7:05 p.m. ET from Nationals Park in Washington D.C. The game will be broadcasted locally on SportsNet LA, SNLA Spanish and MASN. You can also find additional streams for the game on the MLB Streams subreddit.
Dodgers Lineup
The Dodgers scratched Will Smith from the lineup a few hours before first pitch, replacing him with Russell Martin who bats eighth.
The Dodgers will tap dangerous lefty Hyun-Jin Ryu, who's looking for his 12th win on the season. He's been on fire since the very first game, entering Friday's tilt with a 1.76 ERA and averaging just under 9 strikeouts a game. He's faced the Nats once already this year, pitching a lights out eight innings and allowing just one hit in a shutout effort.
Nationals Lineup
Trea Turner will lead things off for the Nats, followed by Adam Eaton, Anthony Rendon and the ever-reliable Juan Soto. He's slashing .288/396/.510 on the year, with 17 home runs and 62 RBI.
RHP Aníbal Sánchez gets the nod for the Nationals, looking to bring his personal record above .500 for the first time this season. He battled the Dodgers in early May, which earned him a brutal 0-6 record through his first ten starts. Since then, Sánchez has been a magician on the mound bringing his record back to an even 6-6 heading into Friday night's game.
