The Miami Dolphins are wasting no time cleaning their hands of this mess.

Running back Mark Walton was arrested for allegedly assaulting a pregnant woman, and the team acted swiftly by releasing the former fourth-round pick.

The woman involved is five weeks pregnant and is carrying Walton's child, making this incident even more sinister. According to the report, Walton struck the women "several times" in the head and face Tuesday morning.

Walton is currently in the midst of a four-game suspension after violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. He still has two weeks left until he can return, but there's a strong possibility he ends up on the Commissioner's Exempt list if an NFL team gives him another opportunity.

At this point, it seems highly unlikely that any team will even look Walton's way for the rest of this year after everything he's been involved with.

In 21 career games over two seasons, Walton has 67 carries for 235 yards and no touchdowns. Walton was selected in the fourth round in 2018 by the Cincinnati Bengals before the team released him after multiple arrests.
