This Dolphins-Jaguars Trade for Yannick Ngakoue Could Actually Work
By Jerry Trotta

The Jacksonville Jaguars appear to be embracing a rebuild, at least on the defensive side of the ball. After letting veteran pass rusher Calais Campbell walk in free agency, the team shockingly dealt cornerback AJ Bouye to the Denver Broncos.
Now, the Jaguars seem likely to offload star defensive end Yannick Ngakoue, who demanded a trade shortly after being franchise-tagged earlier in the offseason.
In terms of suitors for Ngakoue, keep an eye on the Miami Dolphins, who could swoop in on the 24-year-old in an effort to expedite their rebuilding efforts.
Jacksonville Jaguars will use their franchise tag on pass-rusher Yannick Ngakoue, per league sources. The tag will allow them to try to trade him if that’s what they decide or are forced to do.

Any deal for Ngakoue is presumably going to be a sign-and-trade. That shouldn't be a problem for the Dolphins, who have $26.36 million in cap space at their disposal. Miami doesn't necessarily flaunt a ton of tradable assets, but that shouldn't deter Jacksonville, which is reportedly holding out for draft compensation.
That's where these two teams become a perfect match for a trade. The Dolphins currently hold five of the draft's first 56 picks. The organization could offload one of its two second rounders -- No. 39 and No. 56 overall -- as well as one of its three fifth-round picks.
The Jaguars are aware I no longer have interest in signing a long term contract in Jacksonville. Duval, I love you and gave you guys everything I got. I’m thankful for the journey and look forward to continuing my career elsewhere. -91

The Jaguars would receive the draft picks they've been seeking out, and Miami would land a much- needed young pass rusher without coughing up any of its three first-round selections.
