Don't Fall for Michigan's Fool's Gold Heading Into Ohio State Rivalry Matchup

Michigan put an absolute beatdown on Indiana in their late-season matchup on Saturday. The Wolverines thoroughly dominated their Hoosier opponents in virtually every aspect of the game.

It was just the type of convincing win they needed heading into their matchup against Ohio State...but it would be foolish to think that they have any hope of toppling the Buckeyes this year.

Every time the two meet, the Wolverines sucker their fans into thinking that they somehow have a chance at winning. Every year, there's just enough hope because of games like this.

They run up the score on an opponent that has no business being on the same field as them heading into their rivalry game only for the Buckeyes to wax the floor with them for 60 minutes the following week. It's the same story every year!

And this year is no different. The Buckeyes are one of the best teams in the country and the Wolverines are a middling squad that's nowhere close to their talent level. After losing 62-39 as the favorites last year, it's terrifying to think what will happen to the Wolverines as underdogs this year.

This is a warning to not buy in. Michigan is as weak as ever this year. There's no reason for Wolverines fans to set themselves up for disappointment. They simply do not have a chance. Thinking otherwise would be reckless.
